The 3-stage Autocking carabiner features a pull-down and twist action — a motion that’s more intuitive and natural for your hand than lifting up and away from your palm.

We identified several surfaces where ropes and lanyards can be held up by the edges of the gate and sleeve, which can lead to dangerous cross-loading. The auto-lock gate sleeve is designed with beveled edges to minimize this risk and provide a smoother interior for interaction with the materials connected to the carabiner.

bomber biner

I had to re-gear as I entered into the arboriculture industry. I had to look pretty hard in my area to find a biner that has the pull down feature rather than the push up locking sleeve. As a user with smaller hands, I really appreciate this design. This pull action allows me to use this biner one-handed. This is not only far more efficient, but it is also safer, as I can keep the other hand doing whatever job I have assigned to it. The full round body can make it harder to keep oriented in the cold, gloved hand, but it sure does make running ropes through it a lot easier than the typical beam style carabiners. Well done Rock Exotica, and thankyou for keeping options available.
